Lewis Hamilton - Youngest Formula One World Champion In History.

In 2007 we saw Lewis Hamilton put formula One firmly back on the map. He fended off immense pressure from his world champion team mate Fernando Alonso and had two ferraris breathing down his neck. On top of this, he had to deal with the distraction from court cases and appeals, politics and the media, but still managed to keep a cool head.

In 2008 not much changed in this respect, but Lewis, as ever managed to keep his focus and fend off the barrage of un- deserved criticism from the beloved media and do his talking firmly on the track. He had the knack of converting this negative criticism into positive high scoring results, quickly silencing his critics. Put that together with consistency and you have a world champion and that champion is now Lewis Hamilton.

Lewis came into Formula One last year and said he was ‘living the dream’. Well this year has shown that if you’ve got the guts and determination to succeed, your dreams can actually come true.  

Hopefully Lewis will now be seen as a role model to young people around the world and inspire them to go on and fulfil their own dreams and aspirations no matter what their background is.
